How to Get Sales Data from Shopify for analytics with Evidnt Nexus

  1. Accessing Shopify Admin:

    • Log in to your Shopify account as the store owner or with the “Manage Point of Sale staff” permission.
  2. Granting Access to Evidnt:

    • To connect Evidnt’s Nexus to your Shopify reporting, email CM@Evidnt.co with the request to gain Store Permission – Analytics role.
  3. Setting Up Data Flow:

    • From your Shopify admin, click on “Settings” in the left-hand sidebar.
    • In the drop-down menu, select “Apps and sales channels.”
  4. Accessing Point of Sale:

    • On the “Apps and sales channels” page, click on “Point of sale.”
  5. Opening Sales Channel:

    • Next, click on “Open sales channel.”
  6. Managing Staff:

    • Click on “Staff” from the sales channel options.
  7. Creating POS Role:

    • To give access to Evidnt, we’ll create a new Point of Sale (POS) role.
    • Click on “Manage POS roles.”
  8. Adding New Role:

    • Select “Create POS role” to add a new role.
  9. Naming the Role:

    • In the “Title” field, enter a descriptive name for the role (e.g., “Evidnt Nexus Access”).
  10. Configuring Role Permissions:

    • Choose the appropriate permissions for this role to access the necessary sales data.
    • Ensure that the required permissions for Evidnt access are selected.
  11. Making the Role Default (Optional):

    • If you want this role to be the default POS role for new staff, check “Set as default POS role.”
  12. Saving the Role:

    • Click “Save” to create and save the new POS role.

Congratulations! You have successfully set up data flow between Shopify and Evidnt by granting access to Evidnt’s Nexus. Now you can analyze your sales data using Evidnt’s user-friendly dashboards or feed the data to your internal platforms for further insights.
